Description Gianluca Cecchi 2017-08-31 10:44:39 UTC
Description of problem:
Inside documentation Broadwell and Broadwell-no-TSX are not listed, even if actually they are listed as valid in web admin gui.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
4.1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new cluster or select an existing one in web admin gui
2. You see Broadwell and Broadwell-no-TSX as options
3. In documentation they are not explicitly listed as supported:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_virtualization/4.1/html/planning_and_prerequisites_guide/requirements#cpu_requirements

Additional info:
Also the oVirt documentation part should be fixed if possible here:
https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/admin-guide/chap-Clusters/

The update should be considered for version 4.2 too, if its documentation already released in alfa/beta

Comment 1 Michal Skrivanek 2017-08-31 12:23:50 UTC
also Skylake-client is missing

Comment 11 Michal Skrivanek 2017-11-24 12:58:52 UTC
We have Skylake-client, added by bug 1392872. Skylake-server is not part of that

Since this is coming up over and over again I opened bug 1517286 for the server variant
