Description Nag Pavan Chilakam 2017-08-31 11:44:29 UTC
Description of problem:
====
(note, raising this as part of discussion on bug triaging of ec bugs for future release)
Currently when we issue a heal statistics command for disperse volume, it says bricks are down even though that is not the case.
Also, we don't have any plan to work on supporting statistics for disperse volume anytime soon.(refer BZ# 1391893 - heal statistics for disperse volume not working)
Hence we atleast need to change the error message to something better

current behavior:
[root@dhcp35-29 ~]# gluster v heal disp statistics
Gathering crawl statistics on volume disp has been unsuccessful on bricks that are down. Please check if all brick processes are running.

Expected:
change it to something like below:
Heal statistics command for disperse volume is not supported.
Only heal info is supported.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
================
3.8.4-41

How reproducible:
============
always
