The glibcbug script in glibc 2.3.4 and earlier allows local users to overwrite
arbitrary files via a symlink attack on temporary files, a different
vulnerability than CAN-2004-0968.

This issue should also affect RHEL2.1

I still don't understand how this affects mc since it's a glibc bug.

It seems this issue only affects RHEL2.1.

And for RHEL2.1 it should be fixed in glibc-2.2.4-32.19.
