In a clustered VG, lvcreate always creates a clustered mirror using cmirrord. In a shared VG, and we need a way to tell lvcreate to create a clustered/cmirror LV. The difference between mirror and cmirror seems to be the mirror log, so the most obvious way to indicate a cmirror LV seems to be 'lvcreate --mirrorlog cmirror'. As we are aiming to discontinue 'mirror', I close this. Please reopen and adjust priority/severity together with providing rational if still needed. |
