Description Corey Marthaler 2017-09-05 19:14:23 UTC
Description of problem:
Currently there doesn't appear to be a way to interface with cmirrord for use w/ a shared activated cmirror and lvmlockd instead of clvmd.

Comment 3 David Teigland 2017-09-05 19:19:08 UTC
In a clustered VG, lvcreate always creates a clustered mirror using cmirrord. In a shared VG, and we need a way to tell lvcreate to create a clustered/cmirror LV.

The difference between mirror and cmirror seems to be the mirror log, so the most obvious way to indicate a cmirror LV seems to be 'lvcreate --mirrorlog cmirror'.

Comment 4 Heinz Mauelshagen 2020-04-17 15:59:00 UTC
As we are aiming to discontinue 'mirror', I close this.
Please reopen and adjust priority/severity together with providing rational if still needed.
