Description Phidica Veia 2017-09-11 11:26:44 UTC
Description of problem:
Seemingly related to the fix for #1469481, the new version of banshee for F25, banshee.x86_64 2.6.2-25.fc25, conflicts with the version of the extensions on F25, banshee-community-extensions.x86_64 2.4.0-14.fc24

Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf install banshee
2. dnf install banshee-community-extensions

Actual results:
The banshee just installed must be downgraded to install the extensions

Expected results:
banshee-community-extensions is compatible with the latest banshee

Comment 1 Phidica Veia 2017-09-11 11:50:44 UTC
Whoops. Obviously, "--allowerasing" is necessary to get step 2 to work, otherwise the package doesn't install at all

Comment 2 Russell Odom 2017-09-18 08:41:59 UTC
I uninstalled banshee-community-extensions to get the most recent banshee upgrade to work, and on attempting to install again I get:
Error: package banshee-community-extensions-2.4.0-14.fc24.x86_64 requires mono(Banshee.WebBrowser) = 2.6.0.0, but none of the providers can be installed

[root@gigalith ~]# dnf install 'mono(Banshee.WebBrowser)'
Last metadata expiration check: 3:35:21 ago on Mon Sep 18 06:00:11 2017.
Error: cannot install both banshee-2.6.2-15.fc24.x86_64 and banshee-2.6.2-25.fc25.x86_64
(try to add '--allowerasing' to command line to replace conflicting packages)

Looks like the new banshee package no longer provides mono(Banshee.WebBrowser).
