I used to get these error on older kernels (4.14+). I opened a bug report but the kernel 4.15 booted cleanly without these errors. Now it seems the same errors are back with the newest Fedora kernel (i.e., 4.15.6-300.fc27.x86_64). Here is a portion of journalctl print-out with the kernel errors: Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ata2: SATA link up 3.0 Gbps (SStatus 123 SControl 300) Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ata1: SATA link up 3.0 Gbps (SStatus 123 SControl 300) Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ACPI Error: [DSSP] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.PCI0.SAT0.S Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ACPI Error: [DSSP] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.PCI0.SAT0.S Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ata1.00: ATA-8: WDC WD10EZEX-00RKKA0, 80.00A80, max UDMA/1 Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ata1.00: 1953525168 sectors, multi 16: LBA48 NCQ (depth 31 Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ata2.00: ATA-8: WDC WD5000AAKS-00UU3A0, 01.03B01, max UDMA Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ata2.00: 976773168 sectors, multi 16: LBA48 NCQ (depth 31/ Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ACPI Error: [DSSP] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.PCI0.SAT0.S Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ACPI Error: [DSSP] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.PCI0.SAT0.S Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ata6.00: ATAPI: ASUS DRW-24B1ST c, 1.05, max UDMA/100 Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ACPI Error: [DSSP] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ACPI Error: Method parse/execution failed \_SB.PCI0.SAT0.S Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ata1.00: configured for UDMA/133 Mar 08 07:52:28 localhost.localdomain kernel: ata2.00: configured for UDMA/133 The install guide has been retired, therefore I'm closing this bug.
