May I ask why you are vendoring dnsproviders, lego and caddy-realip? Shouldn't they be packaged separately? (In reply to Robert-André Mauchin from comment #1) > May I ask why you are vendoring dnsproviders, lego and caddy-realip? > Shouldn't they be packaged separately? It's best to not create separate packages for golang-based build deps, this way we can stop the expansion of the cesspool of golang-github-*-devel packages. If possible, it'd be great to have upstream itself vendor these packages. Normally I would agree, but those other libraries are only used by Caddy, so packaging them separately would not have a tangible benefit. Being new to golang packaging, I followed the same approach that I observed in the docker spec file, which includes tarballs for its own plugins (docker-novolume-plugin, rhel-push-plugin, docker-lvm-plugin, etc). Small correction, what I just said is true for dnsproviders and realip, but not lego. Lego is a dependency of dnsproviders, but could be used by other packages and also has stand alone value (cli tool). I'm not opposed to switching to a BuildRequires for that once it's packaged, but for now I'm happy to keep it as an additional source tarball. In fact I'll probably submit lego for my next package review after this one. This is a review *template*. Besides handling the [ ]-marked tests you are
also supposed to fix the template before pasting into bugzilla:
- Add issues you find to the list of issues on top. If there isn't such
a list, create one.
- Add your own remarks to the template checks.
- Add new lines marked [!] or [?] when you discover new things not
listed by fedora-review.
- Change or remove any text in the template which is plain wrong. In this
case you could also file a bug against fedora-review
- Remove the "[ ] Manual check required", you will not have any such lines
in what you paste.
- Remove attachments which you deem not really useful (the rpmlint
ones are mandatory, though)
- Remove this text

[!]: If the package is under multiple licenses, the licensing breakdown
must be documented in the spec.
The main package is ASL 2.0 licensed, correct? The license field should just have ASL 2.0. The %license in %files does correctly have the licenses for the individual components.
[-]: Package does not own files or directories owned by other packages.
Note: Dirs in package are owned also by: /usr/lib/.build-id

Could you please give another shot and check if things have changed since for the failed arch? Also, might be preferable to ExclusiveArch: (list all arches that it builds successfully for)
[-]: Large documentation must go in a -doc subpackage. Large could be size
(~1MB) or number of files.
Note: Documentation size is 10240 bytes in 1 files.
[x]: Package complies to the Packaging Guidelines
My mistake, the original license value with multiple licenses is the correct way to go as per: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:LicensingGuidelines?rd=Packaging/LicensingGuidelines#Multiple_Licensing_Scenarios so: [x]: If the package is under multiple licenses, the licensing breakdown must be documented in the spec. Here is a new release of the spec file. I updated the ExclusiveArch as suggested. I also expanded the description at the upstream developers request. There was also a bug fixed upstream that allowed me to turn on one more dns provider (without adding any more bundled libraries). Spec URL: https://carlwgeorge.fedorapeople.org/caddy.spec SRPM URL: https://carlwgeorge.fedorapeople.org/caddy-0.10.9-5.fc28.src.rpm Bumped again to add virtual provides for the bundled libraries. Spec URL: https://carlwgeorge.fedorapeople.org/caddy.spec SRPM URL: https://carlwgeorge.fedorapeople.org/caddy-0.10.9-6.fc28.src.rpm spec file looks good, and complies with the current golang packaging draft. approving..
