Patch for python-olefile.spec to build also for EPEL 7 none

Description Robert Scheck 2017-10-04 19:09:51 UTC
Description of problem:
Please build python-olefile for EPEL 7. Rebuilding python-olefile-0.44-3.fc27
package with some minor tweaks seems to be sufficient.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
python-olefile-0.44-3.fc27

Actual results:
No python-olefile in EPEL 7

Expected results:
python-olefile-0.44-3.el7 or better ;-)

Additional info:
Please let me know if you are not interested in maintaining the package on
EPEL 7 branch.

Patch for python-olefile.spec to build also for EPEL 7

Comment 2 Sandro Mani 2017-10-04 19:13:32 UTC
Hi
I personally don't use EPEL7, so I wouldn't mind letting someone maintain the package which also uses it if possible.

Comment 3 Robert Scheck 2017-10-04 19:41:10 UTC
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-olefile/settings at section
"Users and Groups" allows to add additional (co-)maintainers (needs to
be done by a current maintainer). My username is "robert".

Comment 4 Sandro Mani 2017-10-04 19:42:57 UTC
Done!

Comment 5 Sandro Mani 2017-10-04 19:44:04 UTC
BTW, the patch looks good to me, the only thing is that I've never seen %{python3_pkgversion} used in a Fedora package, though the macro expands correctly. Don't know if should be used for Fedora though.

Comment 6 Robert Scheck 2017-10-04 19:48:20 UTC
It's taken from https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackagingDrafts:Python3EPEL
which describes a way to have a common spec file for Fedora and EPEL.

Comment 7 Sandro Mani 2017-10-04 19:49:34 UTC
Ah ok!
