Lubos, fwupdate and fwupd should both require libsmbios. At least they do in Fedora 27. Richard, Any thoughts on why the libsmbios requires is missing from fwupd? Lubos, Some additional background. Richard cannot submit the build that requires libsmbios because libsmbios-devel isn't in the buildroot. libsmbios-devel isn't in the buildroot because Peter can't push it because the "Product Listing" is missing from Errata Tool. I'm not sure what's missing to enable the product listing, but it looks like it's safe to say that this is most definitely *not* a no-op. To clarify, presence in buildroot and in product listings are two unrelated things. I have pushed libsmbios to buildroot, so fwupd (not to be confused with fwupdate, which does not show such a BR atm) can now be built therewith. Once that is done, the runtime dependency should pull it in; whatever else is needed thereafter is up to RCM. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
