Description teuben 2005-03-01 04:08:32 UTC
Description of problem:
the broadcom gigabit network card (BCM5705M) on a dell X300 laptop
(latitude) was not detected properly, or not initialized. It uses the tg3
driver. However, when booting with the FC3 rescue cd, it works just
fine.

Additional info:
i'll keep my info on the URL, but the problem was "solved" by
downloading a broadcom driver from the company's website
and tinkering a bit with it. Fairly straightforward.
