This message is a reminder that Fedora 26 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 26. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '26'. Created attachment 1341421 [details] The attachment show that the bug start from the Kate component and the thread library KDevelop, Kate and KWrite crashes when used the ENTER key: this bug is connected to the Kate KPart component. If you load in these programs some text or source code and you press the key ENTER in the editor view, the program crashes. The Kate KPart version is 5.38.0, Kate 17.04.1, KDevelop 5.1.2 (if applicable): This bug is found in Fedora Linux 26 with kernel 4.13.5-200 with the last updates: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start a application with the Kate component, like KDevelop 2. Open a project 3. Open a source code, like a header file 4. Move the cursor in a line with pre-existing text 5. Press the key ENTER and the program crashes! Actual results: I have tested this bug for report with the actual version of KDevelop, and the program have crashed Expected results: Reproducible by others users Additional info: The bug is located in the Kate KParts component. I added the backtrace text
