Hi Claude,

Can you give us some more detail as to what you were doing when this crash happened? Is this on boot up? Restore from suspend? Thanks!

Comment 7 Claude Frantz 2017-11-04 15:07:54 UTC
Hi Jeff,

In this situation, the crash occurred a short time after the boot, while the Xfce user session was starting.

Comment 8 Jeff Backus 2017-11-04 15:40:03 UTC
Hi Claude,

Hmm.. And it works with kernel 4.12? It looks like your machine is capable of 64bit. Have you tried using the 64bit version of Fedora? If so, does it also crash?

Comment 9 Jeff Backus 2017-11-04 15:43:12 UTC
May be related to bug 1506892.

Comment 10 Claude Frantz 2017-11-04 16:13:26 UTC
Hi Jeff,

I have never used the 64 bit Fedora, because of the limited RAM size of 4 GB. The current boot was using 4.13.8-200.fc26.i686+PAE. At the present time, the system is stable. I ignore if the next boot with this kernel will be stable again.

Comment 11 Laura Abbott 2018-02-28 03:54:58 UTC
We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. The kernel moves very fast so bugs may get fixed as part of a kernel update. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 26 kernel bugs.

Fedora 26 has now been rebased to 4.15.4-200.fc26. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you have moved on to Fedora 27, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 27.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Comment 12 Claude Frantz 2018-03-19 14:03:14 UTC
When using 4.15.9-200.fc26.i686+PAE, this situation does not more appear.

Comment 13 Laura Abbott 2018-03-19 15:11:44 UTC
Thanks for letting us know
