kparal reported that he's run into this before and is quite familiar with it. It apparently affects systems with three or more displays, even if one is disabled: a typical affected configuration is a laptop with two external displays, even if the laptop display is turned off.

Marking CommonBugs, it would be good to document this for F27, and explain how to 'jiggle the boxes' to make it work if possible.

Comment 3 Adam Williamson 2017-11-09 19:07:42 UTC
nirik notes this may be related to a major upstream rework of related code, https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=777732 .

Comment 4 Patrick Uiterwijk 2017-11-09 19:09:37 UTC
Background info: this is with two external (fullHD) monitors, and a closed laptop lid.

Can you test this scratch build https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=23117546 ?

No change, still broken here (two external monitors and a laptop lid closed). Exactly the same behavior as in Patrick's video.

Thanks. Can you test https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=23123071 ? I believe this one should finally fix it.
