Created attachment 1352509 [details]
events_only_in_power_activity

Description of problem:
There is no events under the creation deletion category of the VM under RHV.

Related to: #1512931

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
5.8.2.3.20171016155816_aaec796

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a VM under the RHV infra provider
2. Stop/Start the VM
3. check its timeline

Actual results:
There is no other events than stop/start

Expected results:
Should get events under Creation/Addition category, same when deleting the VM.

Additional info:
EmsEvents MiqEvents in DB are not properly setup.
Can compare with Vsphere6 where it works fine and is totally deifferent

there is one more BZ about Create event - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1510459

Comment 5 Ilanit Stein 2017-12-11 11:58:10 UTC
Verified on CFME-5.9.0.12/RHV-4.1.8:
Now RHV VM timeline display Creation/Addition Deletion/Removal events:
- USER_ADD_VM_FINISHED_SUCCESS
- USER_REMOVE_VM_FINISHED

Comment 6 thiebaut fischer 2018-01-02 10:25:07 UTC
OK, message is now properly displayed.
But isn't it possible to have event USER_RUN_VM displayed instead?

Comment 7 Piotr Kliczewski 2018-01-02 10:27:34 UTC
Those are names of the events in rhv. Where do you want to change how they are displayed?

Comment 8 thiebaut fischer 2018-01-02 10:33:10 UTC
Ok so it can be kept like that
