a2ps doesn't respong to options --columns=1

1.a2ps --columns=1 file.txt --output=file.ps
2.gs file.ps

Actual Results:  the postscript output has two columns per sheet, same as without option --columns=1

Expected Results:  i expected 1 column per sheet

I haven't been able to reproduce this.  I get one column as expected.

Please report the version you are using (rpm -q a2ps).

This bug is filed against RHEL 3, which is in maintenance phase.
During the maintenance phase, only security errata and select mission
critical bug fixes will be released for enterprise products. Since
this bug does not meet that criteria, it is now being closed.
