Prior to this update, a bug was present in the Nimble cinder volume driver. Consequently, volume operations using the Nimble cinder driver would fail when creating volumes with non-ascii Unicode characters in the volume name or decryption. This update to the Nimble cinder driver addresses the issue, and users can now create volumes with any name or description.

Hi Eric, Could you let us know whether there is any updates about this backport, partner is asking the status? Sincerely, Jinhua Li The backport is now in review downstream after getting merged upstream today. Can you get the customer the openstack-cinder-9.1.4-18.el7ost so they can perform QA on it. I don't think engineering has the hardware needed to do the QA. Once th e partner is done testing, then the Partner Verified flag can be set. Hi Sean, Where can I get this package? Then I can ask partner to have a try with this package. Sincerely, Jinhua Li I think you should ask the owner of the BZ that marked it as fixed in the specified package. Perhaps like asking for a hotfix? No access to Nimble storage to verify. Setting OtherQA Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA. For information on the advisory, and where to find the updated files, follow the link below. If the solution does not work for you, open a new bug report. https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2018:0360 |
