The best way to do this would be to upgrade libsodium to version 1.0.15 and provide a compat-libsodium-17 package for version 1.0.5. Especially since the master branch of libsodium is already at 1.0.15 and it would complicate the work of the maintainers further. Please discuss this with the current libsodium maintainers until you reach an agreement on how to resolve this. Thanks for the feedback Robert, that does make more sense. |
