These patches are in F28 with v2.11.2. But not F27. The patches are nontrivial and IMO not worth introducing to Fedora 27 at this point in its lifetime. I'll leave this bug open to track its F27 state until end of life

Closing this, otherwise qemu gets blamed for not fixing its security bugs with new fedora CVE policy
