Description of problem:
When running the command poweroff the computer hangs if in graphical ui or kernel panic in tty

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
uname -r
4.14.8-300.fc27.x86_64
The problem appears with last kernels of Fedora 26 (since 25 december or perhaps sooner). Same problem after upgrade to F27. Same problem after complete reinstall of F27.

How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1.Alt F3 to go to tty
2. Login as root
3. poweroff

Actual results:
Kernel panic
Bug : Unable to handle kernel null POINTER dereference at .... (see attachment)

Expected results:
Computer shutdown and power off
