Bore da ;) non-root users are created in firstboot - which has a text mode also. Did this not run after install had completed and system restarted? pnawn da :) Of course, you're quite right, this must be the cause. I completely didn't notice that I heard not a peep from firstboot at any stage. Although it -is- installed on the machine. Oh dear, and I have just entered all these other bugs which probably had the same cause... Firstboot never ran at all? What package selections did you make when you installed? In particular, did you choose some sort of lightweight setup without X? It still runs for me even with no mouse, so I don't believe that is the problem. Since there are insufficient details provided in this report for us to investigate the issue further, and we have not received the feedback we requested, we will assume the problem was not reproduceable or has been fixed in a later update for this product.
