Description Adam Scerra 2018-01-18 16:52:49 UTC
Description of problem: After deploying Hosted Engine/RHV-M with cockpit, the Hosted Engine/RHV-M UI does not show anywhere that it is managing a RH-HI Pod.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.1

How reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Deploy Hosted Engine/RHV-M with cockpit
2. View Hosted Engine/RHV-M UI
3. There is nothing in place that signals that it is an RH-HI Pod

Actual results:
From the Hosted Engine/RHV-M UI there is nothing in place that signals that it is an RH-HI Pod

Expected results:
It should be clearly indicated that you have deployed and are managing an RH-HI Pod. This could be shown as a separate breakout in the left hierarchy menu under Data Centers showing "RH-HI Pods".

Additional info:
This RFE could just as well be an RFE for RHV-M.
Dependant on Bug 1521109

Comment 2 Adam Scerra 2018-01-18 18:46:36 UTC
This RFE is dependent on Bug 1521102 not Bug 1521109

Comment 3 Sahina Bose 2018-03-14 11:04:27 UTC
How do we indicate RHHI deployments in RHV? Any suggestions?

Comment 4 Doron Fediuck 2018-03-15 11:53:48 UTC
RHV should be agnostic to the setup.
What you want to do is use the branding to create a new RHHI branding which will be visible everywhere in the UI.

Comment 5 Dave 2018-03-15 12:01:15 UTC
Is there a way though the selection in cockpit to install RHV for a RHHI setup that then changes the branding and conveys to the user that this is a RHHI deployment?

RHV branding is embedded in RHV during the build phase, so the dependency should require the right "RHV flavor" as it happens with RHGS.

Assigning to PM for branding decision
