Description Steve Baker 2018-01-23 23:27:39 UTC
Currently containers are orchestrated by ansible running a script which invokes the paunch command line utility.

Ideally container orchestration will be managed by a tool with better integration with ansible (such as an ansible module). This RFE is to track evaluating the options and implementing a solution.

Evaluating the options will include the following:
- making paunch an ansible module
- using core modules such as docker_container
- the compose subset of ansible-containers

This RFE is complete when containers are managed via the new mechanism.

Removed from 14 due to status lower than POST at the beginning of milestone-3.

Comment 9 Bogdan Dobrelya 2019-05-15 08:05:26 UTC
Better supporting for os_* community modules in RDO is probably also related to the topic.

Comment 10 Alex Schultz 2019-05-15 14:01:28 UTC
no the os_* module replacement is not related to this RFE. This is more about replacing containers-puppet.py with native ansible actions
