This should not be a real issue, as all php extension are loaded by the engine which is properly linked against both libraries BTW, I will slowly fix this upstream P.S. for other extensions (mostly php-pecl-* packages), a load test is present in %check, so any undefined symbol will break the build. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 28 development cycle. Changing version to '28'. This message is a reminder that Fedora 28 is nearing its end of life. On 2019-May-28 Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 28. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. I see the following references which are not properly bound to versioned symbols at static link time (when ld is run): /usr/lib64/php-zts/modules/exif.so | {exp} /usr/lib64/php-zts/modules/gd.so | {pow} /usr/lib64/php-zts/modules/interbase.so | {pow,dlsym} /usr/lib64/php-zts/modules/pdo_firebird.so | {dlsym} /usr/lib64/php/modules/exif.so | {exp} /usr/lib64/php/modules/gd.so | {pow} /usr/lib64/php/modules/interbase.so | {dlsym,pow} /usr/lib64/php/modules/pdo_firebird.so | {dlsym} The dl* functions come from -ldl, exp and pow come from -lm. Please link these DSOs to all the shared objects they need. Not doing so risks crashes at dlopen time.
