Description Phil Cameron 2018-01-26 15:30:30 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1507301 +++

The problem also exists in rhel and needs to get fixed there as well.
Ultimately the fix should be in rhel-7.5 and rhel-7.4

-----------------

Description of problem:
iptraf-ng crashed when adding a new network interface. I connected an Android mobile phone and enabled USB tethering on it, which led to the auto-creation of a new network device and network interface. iptraf-ng then sefgaulted.

Some history:
The originally came up in bug 1283773. The patch did not apply properly and went unnoticed.

This bug is fixed by a new patch that is part of iptraf-ng-1.1.4-16

1.1.4-16 is in fedora rawhide and will make it into f27 and RHEL over time.

Comment 2 Phil Cameron 2018-01-26 15:34:56 UTC
The original fix failed due to an error in the patch file. This fixes the patch.

Comment 4 Phil Cameron 2018-02-02 14:12:32 UTC
This packages the fix for 1539081 (duplicate of 1507301) reported on rhel 7.4

How do we get this through the process?

Comment 5 Phil Cameron 2018-02-06 16:16:00 UTC
This will be iptraf-ng-7 in RHEL.
