Description Jeff Raber 2018-01-31 20:11:09 UTC
Description of problem:
Crash as soon as the moon comes into view during a lunar eclipse

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
100% (for me)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a location and time when a lunar eclipse will be visible
2. Try to observe the moon
3. As soon as the moon comes into view, stellarium will crash

Actual results:
Crash

Expected results:
See the moon, partially eclipsed

Additional info:
The crash seems to be caused by a missing texture file named earth-shadow.png. I copied the file named earth-shadow-new.png to create earth-shadow.png and the crash no longer occurs.

It seems like this file 'Earth-shadow.png' was deleted in error in the upstream; it has since been restored. Ref: https://github.com/Stellarium/stellarium/commit/0eb25e16cc4d714f3cdc34e32e88b1aca71682ab
