Description Matt Pusateri 2018-01-31 21:30:37 UTC
Description of problem:
Configuring MIQLDAP for LDAP with CN user type fails with a ruby stack trace. Appliance is configured in the UI for External Auth, but logins fail.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
5.9.0.19

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Configure MIQLDAP for LDAP against AD.
2.Test that user can log in and shows up in users table. User must be entered in CN format. EX: CN=test user1,CN=Users,DC=ad,DC=cloudqe,DC=bos,DC=redhat,DC=com
3.

Actual results:

Expected results:

Additional info:
JoeV asked me to split this off from bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1536663 As it's low user case that people would log in this way. Also VM was never snapshotted or conversion run as JoeV wanted a working CN= configuration.

At the moment the only place the miqldap_to_sssd conversion script is documented is in the manageiq.org blog post.
