This falls under multiple versions of the same package coexisting in the distribution review exemption, as per https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:ReviewGuidelines#Package_Review_Process and does not need to go through review. (fedrepo-req-admin): The Pagure repository was created at https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/compat-libvpx4 Thanks Chris! Built as compat-libvpx4-1.6.1-1.fc28 I was able to use this package in F29 to install VirtualBox-5.2-5.2.20_125813_fedora26-1.x86_64 which requires libvpx.so.4. (They ought to rebuild VirtualBox for F29 but may not get around to it for a while.) Is this package intended to be available from a Fedora repo, or only from Koji? It's not available in F29 or Rawhide, only from the one Koji build ( https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=26315 , F28 only). I retired it in F29+. compat-libvpx4-1.6.1-1.fc28 was only intended as a temporary ABI compatibility layer for F28 and not to keep it around forever. VirtaulBox needs to get rebuilt on a newer Fedora to support F29. |
