Description Steffen Scheib 2018-02-08 10:59:56 UTC
Description of problem:
Installed snapd (sudo dnf install snapd). During the installation process several SELinux denials are raised
SELinux is preventing snapd from 'rename' accesses on the file sections.f5fdwFSVP6Ss.

***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests **************************

If you believe that snapd should be allowed rename access on the sections.f5fdwFSVP6Ss file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# ausearch -c 'snapd' --raw | audit2allow -M my-snapd
# semodule -X 300 -i my-snapd.pp

Comment 2 Pat Roche 2018-02-25 23:39:58 UTC
Description of problem:
I was logging into Fedora and SELinux generated a report (see "problem details") and told me to file a bug report if I "think" it's a bug rather than an actual security risk. I assume the operative word is "think" since I have no way to know for sure.
