Description Sam Fowler 2018-02-23 05:43:10 UTC
unixODBC before version 2.3.5 is vulnerable to a buffer overflow in the DriverManager/__info.c:unicode_to_ansi_copy() method. An attacker could exploit this to cause a denial of service or other unspecified impact.

Comment 4 nupur priya 2018-07-27 05:39:31 UTC
Is unixODBC available on RHEL6.10 is vulnerable, as the patch is only available for 7.5

Comment 5 Huzaifa S. Sidhpurwala 2018-12-11 04:01:19 UTC
Analysis:

This is essentially a buffer-overflow in the unicode_to_ansi_copy() function. However since the overflow is not directly controllable by the attacker, its maximum impact is crash or denial of service. This flaw has therefore been rated as having Moderate security impact.
