Description Dan Christian 2005-04-20 23:49:31 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050328 Fedora/1.7.6-1.2.5

Description of problem:
When the "nv" video server is configured, it only shows mostly green vertical lines on a black background. The text consoles are also corrupted (white lines on a black background). You have to reboot to restore the display.

The driver correctly identifies the card as a GeForce 6600 GT.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-6.8.2-25

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change driver from "vesa" to "nv"
2. Start X server
3.

Wrong release. Should be FC4-test2.

I installed an Athlon (Sempron) system running FC3 with an identical board, and
it acts the same way.

The Xorg release notes say that the chip is supported. There must be something
about the board. This is a BFG Tech 6600 GTOC.
