Description dgupte 2018-03-15 07:14:57 UTC
1. Proposed title of this feature request
>>> Improve "Unregister Host" option under "Content Hosts" tab. Currently, "Unregister Host" has option "Completely deletes the host record" which deletes VM from compute resources.

2. What is the nature and description of the request?
>>> This is a request to enhance the "Unregister Host" option under Satellite WebUI >> Hosts >> Content Hosts >> select host >> Unregister Host

Currently, there are only two ration buttons available when click on "Unregister Host" under Content Host,

Unregister Options:
  - Unregister the host as a subscription consumer. Provisioning and configuration information is preserved.
  - Completely deletes the host record and removes all reporting, provisioning, and configuration information.

When selecting second option, it actually deletes VM from Compute resources where the option does not clearly states that it will remove VM and Delete Virtual Disk from compute resources.

3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
>>> Option "Completely deletes the host record and removes all reporting, provisioning, and configuration information." is for Disassociate Host, but it actually deletes the VM from compute resouces and does not give clear idea that it will delete VM from compute resource.

4. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)
>>> Currently, there are only two ration buttons available when click on "Unregister Host" under Content Host, customer wants to have third option which will clearly states that either it will delete VM from computer resource or will remove provisioning records i.e. "Disassociate Host"

Unregister Options:
  - Unregister the host as a subscription consumer. Provisioning and configuration information is preserved.
  - Completely deletes the host record and removes all reporting, provisioning, and configuration information.

5. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla?
>>>  No
