Description Andrew Mike 2018-03-19 18:28:48 UTC
Description of problem:

Tables in Eclipse cannot be edited. The editor of the first column is shown for any other column, if the table is scrolled horizontally.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

rh-eclipse46-1-15.el7.x86_64
rh-eclipse47-4.7.2-14.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:

Consistently.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any view with a table that doesn't fit its panel, and which allows editing of its cells.
2. Scroll horizontally to the right, so that the second column is the first visible column.
3. Click on the second column, now the left-most column.
4. Observe that the edit field of *the first column* is shown.
5. Observe that, scrolling horizontally, the edit field of the first column is always shown on the same location.

Actual results:
Other table columns cannot be edited, unless the table has no horizontal scrollbar (i.e. the table fits horizontally, fully, into its panel).

Expected results:
Other table columns can be edited.

Additional info:

This appears to happen with GTK 3.14.13-16. This is tested with Eclipse 4.6 and 4.7.2.

Comment 3 Alexander Kurtakov 2018-03-20 09:24:09 UTC
Does it happen on RHEL 7.4? RHEL 7.2 with GTK 3.14 is no longer supported and RHEL 7.4 has GTK 3.22 on which SWT behaves way better.
