It seems as an acceptable change according to git-diff. The current upstream version provides many new features, but all should be implemented backwardly compatible. The important is that currently RHEL does not contains the library with public API. So, all is about util-linux only. All we need is to be sure that utils like lsblk, findmnt, lsmem (etc.) have still the same output formatting. I'll provide simple tests for our QA. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
