Description Mick Tantasirikorn 2000-08-07 16:37:27 UTC
On a Dell Inspiron 7500
CPU 500MHz
Mem: 64MB

The CD installation Hangs on the Language selection screen only for Text
Install; however it works for GUI install.
I can't go to other virtual console to look at outputs.

The NFS installation works fine.

here is the lspci -v of the system

Comment 1 Glen Foster 2000-08-08 15:20:23 UTC
This defect is considered MUST-FIX for Winston Gold-release

Comment 2 Michael K. Johnson 2000-08-16 22:00:18 UTC
I cannot reproduce this on my Inspiron 7500

Comment 3 Michael K. Johnson 2000-08-21 20:17:25 UTC
Have you tried this on any other Inspirons? Tried different
CDROM drives? If not, I'm going to call this a hardware
problem and close it as WORKSFORME.

Comment 4 Dan Taylor 2000-08-24 21:05:37 UTC
