Description Cal Calhoun 2018-04-11 17:00:48 UTC
Description of problem:

Customer security policy specifies that root access be disabled in the SSH configuration, so enabling root SSH access between the servers for gdeploy will present a problem for them in the long term.

To my knowledge gdeploy does not currently support a method to allow SSH connections as a non-root user.

How reproducible:

  Default situation

Additional Info:

Customer is requesting a way to use a non-root ssh account with gdeploy. ACE has been raised for this case and customer's expectation is to have this feature available in 3-6 months.

Not sure how practical this expectation is but I have opened this BZ so that there can be a discussion on the feasibility of implementing this feature.

gdeploy is deprecated in favour of gluster-ansible. We will not be adding any more new features.
