Description Artur Frenszek-Iwicki 2018-04-16 09:20:54 UTC
The License: tag for marisa is "BSD or LGPL".

This contradicts the Licensing Guidelines, which say that un-versioned GPL/LGPL identifiers should not be used.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:LicensingGuidelines#GPL_and_LGPL

I took a look at the marisa tarball; COPYING says "The LGPL 2.1 or any later version", which means the tag should be "BSD or LGPLv2+".

COPYING is not the right place to check: LGPLv2+ is stated in the README file.

Comment 2 Jens Petersen 2018-07-19 08:04:25 UTC
In general I mean COPYING is just a copy of the general license file.
But okay, sorry, in this case COPYING does actually look clearer.
