Description of problem: The trackpad on my Thinkpad X240 is very imprecise and extremely impractical to use. This is the exact same bug as Bug 1425607. Using synaptics driver in xorg is a viable solution, however I prefer to use Wayland as GNOME is much better performing.

Using the fix mentioned in comment 1 of the said bug report yields unsatisfactory results, fixing the jitter but resulting in a cursor that goes either too slow or too fast.

Closign as upstream, given that you filed the same bug there and it's me who has to deal with both of them anyway...
