Unfortunately I do not have either RHEL7 or CentOS 7 for testing. The main issue is some dependencies notably python 3 are too old to build the latest stable Blender. It will be nice if someone can take a place to do such task. This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
