Description Bishop Clark 2018-04-30 18:35:49 UTC
Description of problem:
compat-sap-c++5/6/7 include no /etc/ld.so.conf.d drop-in and no README/hints

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
compat-sap-c++-5-5.3.1-10.el7_3
compat-sap-c++-6-6.3.1-1.el7_3
compat-sap-c++-7-7.2.1-2.el7_4

How reproducible:
easy

Steps to Reproduce:
1. subscribe to RHEL for SAP APPs channel
2. yum install  compat-sap-c++-*
3. check for absense of hints
4. observe libraries aren't available, via ldd on an affected binary

Actual results:

Expected results:
no error, and libs shown in ldd output

:
:

Comment 2 Marek Polacek 2018-04-30 18:51:14 UTC
This package is only meant for a very specific use-case, not for a general use. It is intentional that it only contains the specific DSO. As such, I don't think there's a need to change anything.

Comment 3 Bishop Clark 2018-04-30 18:59:48 UTC
Will advise SAP that this package is too hard to finish properly, and hope they can update their tech note to include the required crutch. Thanks!
