Description Runming Long 2018-05-14 02:06:56 UTC
Document URL: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/6/html-single/dm_multipath/

Section Number and Name: DM Multipath Configuration and Administration

Describe the issue:
1. Checked the "1.1.1. New and Changed Features for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0" and "4.2. Configuration File Blacklist" shows "if the find_multipaths configuration parameter is set to yes, then multipath will create a device only if one of three conditions are met:"

2. We can see the "Table 4.1. Multipath Configuration Defaults" under the "4.3. Configuration File Defaults", about the "find_multipaths" parameters is described below:
"Defines the mode for setting up multipath devices. If this parameter is set to yes, then multipath will not try to create a device for every non-blacklisted path. Instead multipath will create a device only if one of three conditions are met: "

3. The above two describe some contradictions, what the "find_multipaths" parameter means? This parameter is needed to set to "yes" to create a device only if one of three conditions are met, or set to "no"
