The issue is we check if the template already exists and skip loading if it does. This means the new deployment will not take advantage of the template change. Work around is to delete the existing templates and either restart the pod to load them or load them manually. Added link to external trackers list (PR openshift/origin-aggregated-logging/pull/1168) Retargeting 3.9.z as 3.10 is not released yet. Verified and pass with openshift3/logging-elasticsearch/images/v3.9.30-1. The alias .all are added when index in created. The old index without .all alias need to be updated manually. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
