Description Pawel Salek 2000-08-09 10:52:45 UTC
/etc/rc.d/init.d/ypbind starts ypbind with -broadcast option. This may be
annoying when other machines in the net have restricted access to yp
services. In this case, all such machines will syslog message similar to
the following:
connect from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to callit(ypserv): request from unauthorized
host

I suggest to omit -broadcast flag and generate /etc/yp.conf file with
ypserver option(s): systems with multiple NIS domains are rare IMO and
such a defaults are more convenient for more usual setups.

This is fixed in later ypbind packages.
