Considering that fact the collectd was a tech preview in OSP10 we agreed with Pradeep and Anandeep that it will be sufficient to test that we include kafka-write collectd plugin package in OSP10 and that it can be successfully loaded by collectd, so this is what I've done. Packages are included and plugin can be successfully loaded. Issues: After installing collectd-5.8.0-12 ,collectd service was unable to start until you comment McelogClientSocket "/var/run/mcelog-client" line in the /etc/collectd.d/mcelog.conf file. I am not sure if that even intended to be in /etc/collectd.d and be loaded ,will have to talk to Matthias about that. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
