Description of problem:
Upstream released version 8.0.11 of mysql-connector-java package:
https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/

It would be good to investigate whether it can be packaged for Fedora rawhide, and eventually update it.

Packaged in Rawhide[1]. There are some changes in build process, but looks like it has same dependencies as v5.x. Opened PR [2].

Version 8.0.12 available in f29, f30, and in testing for f28.
