This is equivalent to the addition of a PCI ID (although technically different in this case at a boring level of detail). I believe the overall risk of including this patch is very low. This comment contitutes Engineering's ACK... The tg3 driver upgrade to version 3.27RH has just been committed to the RHEL3 U6 patch pool this evening (in kernel version 2.4.21-32.6.EL). An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
