netdump of panic
Please try to reproduce this on the latest released kernel (2.4.21-32.0.1.EL), which was released a week ago in advisory RHSA-2005:472. Let us know whether the problem still exists. If so, please provide a reproducer. Thanks. We just had another panic on one of the boxes using the new kernel. Unfortunately netdump failed and we couldnt get a screenshot. I reconfigured netdump so that it hopefully collects the next panic dump. This time it was caused it by umount. I'll post the next panic when it happens again. We have seen panics in d_rehash() that were fixed by the clear_pte patch. Please grab the latest RHEL3-U5 security errata kernel and run that. I'm pretty certain that this new kernel will fix this problem. Larry Woodman This bug is filed against RHEL 3, which is in maintenance phase. During the maintenance phase, only security errata and select mission critical bug fixes will be released for enterprise products. Since this bug does not meet that criteria, it is now being closed. For more information of the RHEL errata support policy, please visit: http://www.redhat.com/security/updates/errata/ If you feel this bug is indeed mission critical, please contact your support representative. You may be asked to provide detailed information on how this bug is affecting you. |
