The sunmd5 password hash is implemented in CDDL code.  We should disable it for maximum license compatibility.

libxcrypt-4.0.1-3.fc28 has been pushed to the Fedora 28 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.

libxcrypt now ships a BSD licensed implementation of the SUNMD5 password hashing algorithm [1].  Re-enabling support for it with v4.1.0 release.
