Description of problem:
One of the most useful functions of file manager Ranger stopped working with python3.6: scout. It's like using ctrl-f in an internet browser or any file manager

This has been fixed since 2017-01-08 at ranger-stable 1.8.1:

ranger-stable 1.7.2, python3.6

How reproducible:
Very 

Steps to Reproduce:
1. have python3
2. Install ranger-stable 1.7.2
3. run 'ranger' 
4. use 'f' to start search
5. search does nothing

Actual results:
nothing happens

Expected results:
as your search gets more specific, your cursor highlights the best matching file, like using ctrl-f in an internet browser.


Additional info:
I just want the package in the repos updated. If I can be nudged in the correct direction to do this myself, i gladly will.

just to clarify: 

'step 2. Install ranger-stable 1.7.2' 

is analogous to 

'dnf install ranger'

Duplicate of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1495481 which needs to be updated for F28.
