Description of problem:
The disk plugin has udev support which permits the use of UdevNameAttr to direct collectd on what property should be used to index disks. This is required to avoid relative devnodes (e.g. 'sda') and/or to avoid duplicate network transmits of the same data: https://github.com/collectd/collectd/issues/823

collectd-5.8.0 has a regression which breaks udev detection in the disk plugin even if collectd is build with it. A patch is available upstream.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf install collectd
2. Configure 'UdevNameAttr "ID_SERIAL"' for the disk plugin
3. Note in the logs: disk plugin: The "UdevNameAttr" option is only supported if collectd is built with libudev support

Actual results:
Disks statistics are sent under their /dev/sdN node, and 'disk plugin: The "UdevNameAttr" option is only supported if collectd is built with libudev support' appears in the logs

Expected results:
Disks statistics are sent using their serial number, no udev warnings in the logs

Hello,

Any way to know when it will be fixed for EPEL?

I need to use UdevNameAttr in collectd disk plugin and get this message:
disk plugin: The "UdevNameAttr" option is only supported if collectd is built with libudev support

Seems to be fixed upstream...
