ROx, what are your thoughts? As the customer requester, the reason for this request is that particular dialog box has potentially destructive consequences across many systems. Destructive actions should have a clear confirmation. Coupled with Bug 1264138, it means there is no clarity before the actions in this dialog box nor after actions taken with this dialog box. If it as consequential as described, then I agree, there should be some confirmation of what it is affecting. However, instead of another modal (since action is already housed in a modal), we could change "Done" to "Next" which could load the affected packages. We do something similar on the Hosts page when a user chooses to delete Hosts. A confirmation modal appears. I'm bumping this trying to keep it active and I voted up. The reason again is this system controls many systems and patching can be destructive, thus there needs to be clarification before commit. Thank you for your interest in Satellite 6. We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is a valid request, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. This is due to other priorities for the product, and not a reflection on the request itself. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this, please do not reopen. Instead, feel free to contact Red Hat Technical Support. Thank you. |
